Maria "Mary" Neubauer was born in Slinger, Washington Co, WI to Elizabeth Reif and Joseph Neubauer on 28 August 1857.

Maria married 15 Nov 1875 to Mathias Peter Heintz in the Town of Rubicon, Neosho, Dodge Co, Wis recorded in Vol 16 page 218.

Mathias and Maria had 13 children total (according to the 1910 census), 11 living in 1910. The obituary listed 12 children including an infant they lost so I'm not sure who the 13th child was.

Mathias died of a stroke after pneumonia 7 hours after Mary on the same day, on 8 Feb 1925, aged 70 (just days before his 71st birthday). This was at their farm in the Town of Rubicon, Neosho, Dodge, WI. Mary died 8 Feb 1925 aged 67.

His & Mary's obituary appeared in several papers:
Hartford Press, Hartford, Wis Friday 13 Feb 1925 page 4 MAN AND WIFE DIE SAME DAY IN T. RUBICON
Mr. and Mrs. Matthias P Heintz, Residing One Mile East of Neosho, Pass Away on Sunday Within 7 Hours of Each Other; Funeral Held Wednesday

Death claimed a man and wife within seven hours of each other, Sunday, in the passing of Mr. and Mrs. Matthias P. Heintz, respected and highly esteemed residents of the town of Rubicon, who for the past 50 years have resided on a farm one mile east of Neosho. Mrs. Heintz was the first to depart this world, passing away at 3:45 pm. Sunday afternoon, 8 Feb. Mr. Heintz was called by death approximately seven hours later, at 10:45 o'clock p.m. Sunday evening. Both suffered from heart trouble and pneumonia, although Mr. Heintz was also taken with a stroke of paralysis which affected his right side, shortly before he died. He was taken seriously ill fourteen days previous to his death, and had since been confined to his bed. His wife had to take to her bed ten days before her demise.

Mrs. Heintz whose maiden name was Mary Neubauer, was born at Slinger, 28 August 1857, and at the time of her death had attained the age of 67 years 6 months and 10 days. She spent her younger life in Slinger, and as a girl moved from that village to the town of Erin and thence to the town of Rubicon.

Mr. Heintz was born in the town of Hustisford, Dodge County, 13 Feb 1853 (grave has 1854), and had he lived until today, he would have reached his 72nd (71st) birthday. He spent his younger life in the town in which he was born, and on 15 Nov 1875 he was married to Miss Neubauer, the ceremony taking place in Neosho.

Surviving the parents are the following children: Mary (Mrs. Charles Neu), Neosho; Peter M, Hartford; Elizabeth at home; Joseph N and Frederick C both of Hewitt, Wis; Edward P, Keystone, Washington; Frank M on the homestead; Theresa M, Wausau; Leona, Milwaukee; Cecelia (Mrs. Nicholas Sterr), Neosho; and Helen (Mrs. Frank Fassbender), Hewitt. One daughter Margaret died in infancy.

Mrs. Heintz is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Michael Neubauer, Antigo; Thomas Neubauer, Cashton; Mrs. Anna Schroeder and Mrs. Agnes Schroeder, Milwaukee. Mr. Heintz leaves two brother and three sisters: Nicholas Heintz, Monroe, Washington; Joseph P, Hewitt, Wis; Mrs. Frank Annen, West Allis; Sister M Antonella, Maple River, Iowa; and Sister M Claudia, Fredonia, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Heintz were numbered among the best known residents of the town of Rubicon, where they have resided continuously as long as the most of us can remember. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm one mile east of Neosho and nine miles east of Hartford, where they have always resided. The venerable couple would have observed their golden wedding anniversary this year had not death intervened. Mrs. Heintz possessed all those qualities of true womanhood. She was a kind and generous mother, dearly beloved by her children and revered by her many friends. Mr. Heintz spent his entire life in farming and in his chosen occupation he proved a big success. He was a prominent man in the town of Rubicon and on several occasions was elected as a supervisor which position he filled most capably. The passing of both parents within a few hours of each other, is a severe shock to the family and to the entire community in which these respected people reside. The children and brothers and sisters of Mr. and Mrs. Heintz have the sincere sympathy of all in their great loss.

The funeral was held yesterday, Thursday morning with services at the St. Matthew's church, Neosho at 9:30 o'clock. The last sad rites were conducted by the Rev. J. P. Bollenbeck of Neosho, Rev Jos. Hartmann of this city, and Rev. McCollow of Fond du Lac. Interment was made in St. Bartholomew's Cemetery. The funeral was one of the largest ever held at Neosho.
