Pete Bean, aged 86 years, died at the residence of John Lucius, near Highbridge, yesterday. Interment tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock at Mooney Creek cemetery. Funeral from Corpus Christi church. Deceased came from Luxumberg, Germany, in 1882, and settled at Mt. Pleasant in this county. Mrs. Pat Lyons and Mrs. John Lucius are sisters of the deceased. Three sons also survive--Perry, Matthew, sr., and Matthew, jr. A grandson, Perry Lucius, and Joseph L. Weishaar came for the casket this morning. The latter while here also procured a licnse to wed Miss Susie G. Lucius, grand daughter of the deceased. Weishaar resides in Jefferson county, and is 23 years of age, Miss Lucius is 18.
