Victoria Ybarra Hernandez of Lubbock departed this life on Sept. 28, 2008, at the age of 78 years. She was born on April 23, 1930, in Eagle Pass to Primitivo Ybarra and Isabel Garcia. Victoria married Jesus B. Hernandez and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1983. Victoria was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, wife and sister. Her greatest love was her family and friends. She was loved greatly in return and will be greatly missed by all.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Juan Hernandez and wife Maryann of Lubbock and Jesus Hernandez Jr. and wife Nancy of San Antonio; four brothers, Alejandro Ybarra and wife Enedina of Lorenzo, Alfredo Ybarra and wife Rita of Petersburg, Arturo Ybarra of Plainview and Armando Ybarra and wife Janie of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; four grandchildren, Gloria Camacho, Brande Hernandez, Juan Hernandez Jr., Estrella Hernandez; eight great-grandchildren, Virginia Guttierrez, Ricky Guttierrez, Brittney Guttierrez, Cassandra Guttierrez, Claudia Mares, Sebastian Mares, Nathan Mares and Angelina Mares; and one great great-grandchild, Aryana Guzman.
Victoria was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Virginia Camacho; one sister Beatriz Luna; and one brother, Pablo Ybarra.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at White Memorial Chapel of Lubbock. Mass will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg with Fr. Jacob Puthuparambil officiating. Interment is to follow at the Petersburg Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the personal care of White Funeral Home of Lubbock.
