Born May 16, 1915, in Casey County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Thomas Marion and Ella Griffin Zachary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Segal T. Wesley; a son, John T. Wesley; and eight siblings.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn (and Roger) Coffey; daughter-in-law, Becky Wesley; five grandchildren, Leanne (and Herbie) Davis, John M. Coffey, Jaime (and Tao) Costello, Kim Wesley and Joe (and Ashley) Wesley; and three great-grandchildren, Kara Davis, Spencer T. Costello and Cooper J. Costello. She also is survived by a sister, Velma Sander of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wesley was a graduate of Campbellsville College and a retired teacher and businesswoman. She was very civic minded and had served on many church and community boards and committees. She also was an avid Republican party supporter and flower gardener.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home in Liberty with the Rev. Homer Hecht and Bro. Phillip Patton officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Roger Coffey, John M. Coffey, Joe T. Wesley, Herbie Davis, Jerry Zachary and Gary T. Terry. Honorary pallbearers are Ann Burris, Louise Emerson, Maxine Bell, Odessa Wilkey, Brenda Delk, Debra Beard, Betty Kleffman and Mary Duggins.
