FRANCIS "FRAN" M. HELLMAN A native of Texas and longtime resident of Fremont, entered into rest on Friday, November 5, 2004 in Fremont. He was born in Hereford, TX on October 20, 1917 to Henry and Mary Hellman. Fran served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was last stationed in Italy. Fran was a man with many interests including woodworking, gardening and bowling. He bowled on a Thursday night league until recently with his son, Larry, at Mowry Lanes in Fremont, where he had many friends. He was an usher at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont for many years. Fran is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lucille Hellman; his sons, Larry Hellman of Fremont and Don Hellman of Newark; his daughters-in-law, Karen and Nancy and his dear grandsons, Kevin, Nathan and Jason Hellman. The visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward. Funeral services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2004.
