MEADOW BRIDGE — Erma Lee Zickafoose Felts, 79, of Meadow Bridge, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley following a long illness.
Born on May 24, 1929, at Lawn, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Stella Duncan Zickafoose.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Arzy Goddard and Jim Felts; a sister, Aretta Jane Delmas; a brother, Azel Ford Zickafoose; five half brothers and four half sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Vandall and wife, Jean, of Meadow Bridge and Hobert Goddard and wife, Carole, of Medina, Ohio; three daughters, Oleta Perpar and husband, Joel, of Medina, Ohio, Opal Wiester and husband, Gary, of LaGrange Township, Ohio, and Linda Frueh and husband, David, of Columbia Station, Ohio; three sisters, Ethel Zickafoose of Lawn, Ruby Holliday of Crawley and Nina Emmerling and husband, Kurt, of Clintonville; three brothers, Shadrach Zickafoose and wife, Frances, of Indianapolis, Ind., Morgan Zickafoose and wife, Ellen, of Springdale and Elbert Zickafoose and wife, Jo Ellen, of Lincoln Park, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Smathers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Clay O'Dell officiating. Burial will follow in the McElhenney Cemetery at Grassy Meadows.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
