Michael W. Springer, 84, Grand Junction, died May 19, 2003 at this home. He was born on July 31, 1918 at the Spring Creek Sawmill where his father was a logger. Mike grew up in Delta and during World War II he joined the army and served in Europe. After his discharge he went to work for the D&RGW railroad as a brakeman and later became a conductor.
He married the former Leola Cuddy on August 21, 1946. She preceded him in death in 1999. He was also preceded in death by one son, Kirk.
Survivors include two sons, Bill of Grand Junction and John of Loma; and two grandchildren.
