MULVANE - Sybole, Darrell "Skip", 79, USAF retired MSgt, Korean and Vietnam War veteran, served as line chief of Wild Weasel 1 Unit and retired USD 260 maintenance employee, died Thursday, November 20, 2008. No public visitation. Rosary 7pm Sunday; funeral mass 10am Monday, all at St. Michael Catholic Church, Mulvane. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Phyllis (Brightwell) Sybole; infant son, Darrell Sybole, Jr.; brother, John Ridley; sister-in-law, Janet Wiesner. Survivors include: wife of 60 years, Janet Sybole; children, Jim Sybole, Valerie & Craig Barth, Debbie & Rick Koehn; grandchildren, Megan, Kayli, Clayton, David and Cindy; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, James Ridley, Mary Justice, Helen Rita Eschman; sisters-in-law, Joan & Al Staub, Joyce & Nate Goldstein; brother-in-law, Paul Wiesner. Memorials have been established with St. Michael Catholic Church Building Fund, 525 E. Main St., Mulvane, KS 67110 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202. Smith Mortuary-Derby is in charge of the arrangements.
