Betty Fichtel, 85, of Aurora passed away Monday, December 15, 2008. She was born May 21, 1923 in Aurora, IL.
She is survived by her son, William (Jani) Fichtel of California; two daughters, Mary (Gary) Johnson of Sheridan, IL and Julie Fichtel of Naperville, IL; her grandchildren, Erica, Kristina, and Michelle; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Michael; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Bud" Fichtel; her parents, Mary (Shoger) and Frank Michael; and two brothers, William (Stella) Michael and George "Jack" Michael.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 1:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. Rev. Juancho Campanano of Wesley United Methodist Church, will officiate with interment at River Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday morning, from 11:00am until the funeral hour at 1:00pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, 630-631-5500. www.daleidenmortuary.com
Betty's family would like to extend a very special thank you and appreciation to the doctors and staff at Copley Cancer Care Center and to the staff at The Tillers for all the loving care Betty received.
