Obit in The Correctionville News, 19 October 1916:

Augusta Greiner, nee Muller, was born in Neuhausen, Renweg, in Thuringer Wald, Schwartzburg on December 25, 1833.

She was married September 29, 1857, to Carl Ernst Greiner of the same town, who was a glass blower. They came to America in the spring of 1860 settling in Moscow, Iowa, where they lived 33 years. In 1883 they removed to their present home.

Seven children were born to this union.

all of whom survive: Frank of Correctionville, Albert of Grant City, Missouri, Edmund and Paul of Correctionville, Mrs. R.S. Milne of Cushing, Charles and Anna on the home farm northwest of Correctionville.

She was preceded in death by her husband on April 12, 1904.

Though she was smitten by illness a good deal during her life, she was fine until about four weeks ago when she suffered a sinking spell. She rallied but succumbed to a second spell on Friday, October 11, 1916, at 4:20 p.m. at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 16 days. Burial was in the Correctionville Cemetery.
