Former Clay Center resident Kathryn Louise Deines, 90, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, at Sutton Community Home.

Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at McLaughlin Funeral Home chapel in Clay Center with the Rev. Royce Buchtel officiating. Burial will be in Clay Center Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.

Miss Deines was born July 12, 1907, to Nickolas and Elizabeth (Schwingle) Deines in Clay Center. She graduated from Clay Center High School in 1925. She graduated from Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed by Lincoln General Hospital and Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and later by Hall County Health Services for more than 20 years.

She was a member of United Church of Christ in Clay Center.

Survivors are one sister, Mary Snyder of Cherry Hill, N.J.; and one brother, Royce Deines of Clay Center.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be given to Sutton Community Home.
