I've found Christine's maiden name to be spelled many different ways. I've found it spelled Kammerle, Kammerlen, Kummerlen, Kummerle, Kummerl, Kuemmerle, and Kammerlin. I'm discounting the last spelling because in Germany at the time, the letters, "in" was a suffix added to a unmarried woman's last name. I have a feeling that the spellings that end in "en" are just a misspelling of that suffix. So, my feeling is that her maiden name was Kummerle, Kammerle or Kuemmerle. If anyone knows for sure, please let me know.

Christine was born in Germany, probably Wurttemberg. One of her daughters called her "Hanna", which leads me to believe that one of her middle names was Johanna.

ON July 2, 1833 Christine married Johann Ernst Obenland in the Lutheran Church in Kleinaspach, Rems-Murr-Kreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The couple had 9 children: Christian Gottlieb Ernst (11/8/1833), Luise Johanna (3/18/1835), Johanna Catharina (2/7/1837, Gottlieb Friederich (7/5/1839), Wilhelm Friederich (10/14/1841), Gottlob (1/4/1844), Catharina Maria (12/6/1846), Christian Carl (4/23/1848) and Maria Catharina (2/18/1851).
