Isidro P. Nieto, a lifelong resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Monday, May 22, 2006, in San Antonio at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 28 days.
He was born in Floresville on May 24, 1929, to Ignacio and Virginia Peña Nieto.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Elvira Chavana and Genevieve Arciniega; and a great-grandson, Jeremiah Guevara.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Nieto; daughters, Helen Villarreal (Johnny), Cynthia Morales (Gilbert), and Sandra Nieto; sons, David Nieto (Martha), Henry Nieto (Teresa), Johnny Nieto (Oralia), and Edward Nieto (Tricia); stepsons Rudy Sendejo, Randy Sendejo (Rosie), Ronnie Sendejo (Nancy), and Alfred Sendejo (Danette); sisters, Eva Estrada, Olivia Flores, and Betty Flores; 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation took place on Thursday, May 25, after 5 p.m. in Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.
A rosary was recited on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
On Friday at 11:30 a.m., a funeral Mass was celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville and inurnment followed in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Floresville.
