Abstract--age 60, of Tunnelton, died April 3 at Preston memorial Hospital. A native of Tunnelton, he was born Feb. 5, 1897, a s/o the late Geo. W. and Judy A. Shannon Maier. He was a coal miner. Surviving are his wife, Bessie Cool Maier; five sons, Wallace L., Paul G., Watson and Wendell, all of Alliquippa, Pa., and Richard of Baltimore; three daughters, Mrs. Nathalene Bolyard and Mrs. Norma Holt of Baltimore and Miss. Phyliss Maier at home; three brothers, Howard of Fla., and Wesley and Harry P. of Tunnelton; and four sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Sanders, Mrs. Fay LaRue and Mrs. Mable Spahr of Tunnelton, and Mrs. Gussie Bolyard of Rowlesburg. Burial was in the Mt. View Cemetery.
