A possiblity is that the feather ink pen ran out or faded of ink creating the "8" and the German "9" looked like a "4". Or.. that it was confused with John Joseph Eck Memorial# 115672431 buried at St. Mary Cemetery, Philadelphia. I'd would blame human error for recording. The tombstone looks like solid information. His mother would of been around the age of 27-28 years old when he was born.∼Husband of Mary Margaret "Polly" (Bernt/Berndt)
