Born in Russia. WWI Draft Reg. Card has birth in 1879, and name as Andrew, although he signed it Andreas. They lived in Bunker Hill, Russell County, in 1918.
Sometime after his first wife died in 1925, he wrote to her deceased brother Gottfried Fitzler's widow, who lived in Canada. Anna Elisabeth (Hilderman) Fitzler came to Kansas and married him--the second marriage for both.
