Born to Frank Bernard and Louise Mary Volkerding Borgerding. The family located in Subiaco, Ark a few months after her birth. Three more children were born to the family including her brother, Father Benedict Borgerding, a frequent visitor to Muenster in later years. After the death of her husband she began keeping house for Fr. Joseph Huwyler in Paris, Arkansas. When he was transferred to Muenster, she went with him. She liked Muenster so well that when Fr. Joseph was transferred, she stayed behind to keep house for the next priest. After her retirement, she lived with her daughter Louise Wiesman. She died in Muenster in 1966 at the age of 89.
