Mrs. Alvina H. Stallbaumer
Seneca-Mrs. Alvina H. Stallbaumer, 70, Seneca, died Wednesday, April 3, at a Seneca hospital. She suffered from cancer the past six months.
She was born Feb. 12, 1915, north of Baileyville, the daughter of Frank J. and Mary Agnes Osterhaus Deters, and aattended Sacred Heart Catholic School at Baileyville. She lived in Seneca since 1983.
Mrs. Stallbaumer was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Seneca and St. Ann's Altar Society at the church.
She was married to Victor H. Stallbaumer April 14, 1937, at Baileyville. They lived and farmed northeast of Baileyville until he died March 26, 1982. Infant twin daughters, Judy Stallbaumer and Jane Stallbaumer, died March 15, 1952.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Grace Waite, Lees Summit, Mo., Mrs. Arlene Wassenberg, Marysville, and Mrs. Rita Pyle, Tulsa, Okla.; a son John Stallbaumer, Pawnee City, Neb.; four sisters, Mrs. Ann Ronnebaum and Mrs. Marie Stallbaumer, both of Seneca, Mrs. Emma Holthaus, Horton, and Mrs. Clara Krogman, Baileyville; four brothers, Edward Deters, Baileyville, and Aloysius Deters, Joseph Deters and Francis Deters, all at Centralia; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Seneca. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery at Baileyville. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
