Mary Barbara Hopkins, 94, a resident of Spring Valley for two years and former resident of Barstow for 48 years, passed away Monday, May 31, 2004 in La Mesa, Calif. She was born March 20, 1910 in Topeka, Kan. She was a homemaker all her life. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 48 years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Ira Hopkins, and her son Donald. Survivors include her son, Robert Hopkins and his wife, Donna, of Visalia; daughter, Dolores Williams of Spring Valley; sister-in-law, Thelma Cravens of Oregon, brother-in-law, Floyd Hopkins of Topeka, Kan.; nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
