Yukiko Kinoshita died suddenly at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital on January 2, 2005. She was 67. She was born in Brighton, Colo., and moved from Yuma, Ariz., to Hollister in 1989. She was educated in Japan and Colorado, and she and her husband co-owned K & Y Farms of San Benito County. After retirement, she worked for Countryside Day Care. She was a member of the Watsonville Buddhist Temple and the Buddhist Women's Association. She loved to bowl, cook and be a homemaker for her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth T. Kinoshita, her children and their spouses, Lorrie and Curt Layman of Morgan Hill, Eileen and David Crumbaker of Eloy, Ariz., Greg and Carolyn Kinoshita of San Jose and Ron and Maria Kinoshita of Hollister. She is also survived by her grandchildren, four sisters, her brother and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, brother Joe Sugiura. Services were held Wednesday at Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home in Hollister.
