Bernadine Bruns Knieke passed away at Washoe Progressive Care Center at the age of 91. She was born to Hermann and Anna Marie Gehrels Bruns. Bernardine had lived in the Reno area for 56 years, coming from Paradise Valley, NV. She was a homemaker. Bernadine is survived by her son, Albert Tietjen of Reno; son, Herman Tietjen and sister, Anna Lenier of Texas and Agnes Stindt and Hermine Schlange, both of Germany; numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Robert passed away in 1967 and a son, Henry Tietjen in 1955.
