J Henry Wolf, a former resident of Callicoon Center, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Geroge Hess, at Corning after an illness of nearly four weeks from dysintery and old age.
He was born in Immelborn, Germany and came to NYC in 1855.
On March 3 1863 he married Katherine M Ranft in New York and in 1867 came to Callicoon Center, where he lived on a farm until five years ago last March, when he sold the farm to John W Seffert and went to Corning to live with his daughter.
He was a member of St. Paul's church, Callicoon Center and the funeral and burial took place there Friday October 6. Deceased leaves a wife, one daughter, Mrs Hess, and two sons, Valentine A and John both of Walton. All were present at the funeral except Mrs Hess, who was unable to come on account of the illness of her 3 year old daughter, Eleanor."
