Surviving with the wife are three sons: David Klumpp, Joe Klumpp, and Kevin Klumpp, all of Bedford, IN; a twin brother, Karl F. Klumpp; and three grandchildren.
He was a retired tool designer for General Motors Powertrain and was an Army veteran of World War II. He served as Republican city councilman from 1980 to 1988. He was a member of the American Legion Gillen Post, past treasurer and president of Bedford Lions Club, and an honorary board member of the Thornton Boys Club. He was of Protestant faith.
Services for Gus Klumpp will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Bob Philips officiating. Entombment will be at Cresthaven Mausoleum with military rites accorded by members of the American Legion.
