Marie Dugan, 91, of Wamego, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000 at Valley Vista Good Samaritan Center. Marie was born Aug. 12, 1908, in Wamego, to Christopher P. and Magdeline Kline Bellinder.
On Jan. 25, 1927, Marie married Everette Dugan in Junction City. He preceded her in death.
She received her education at St. Bernard's Grade School and graduated from Wamego High School. Marie retired from Kansas State University, where she spent many years working as a cook in food service. After she retired, she did volunteer work at the Wamego Senior Center. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a sister, Monica Mott, Ariz.
A Rosary Service will be held Sunday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by a visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Aug. 14, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Wamego City Cemetery. Marie will lie in state at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Marie Dugan to either St. Bernard's Catholic Church or the Wamego Senior Center. Contributions may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dugan will lie in state at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego after 1 p.m. Sunday, where a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by visitation.
