Daughter of George Caspar Caroli and Marie Elizabeth Johanna Franz, wife of John Bernhard Koestner, whom she married on March 28, 1894, in Brooklyn, New York, and mother of John, Lydia (married Charles Henry Shaber), Charles, Florence Georgina (married George F. Ricketts), George and Walter B. Koestner.

Wife of Howard Alden, whom she married on January 10, 1921 in Patchogue, New York.

Marriage - Annie Georgine Elise Caroli, aged 22, born 1872, the daughter of Georg Caroli and Johanne Franz, and Johann Bernhard Koestner, aged 23, born 1871, the son of Nicolaus Koestner and Kunigunde Franz, were married on March 28, 1894, in Kings, New York.

In 1910, Annie Koestner, aged 38, widowed, was living on Middle Country Road, Brookhaven, NY, with her children, Lydia Koestner, aged 14, Charles Koestner, aged 12, Florence Koestner, aged 10. George Koestner, aged 7, and Walter Koestner, aged 5. Annie was shown to be a farmer.

In 1920, Anna Alden, aged 53, was living in Brookhaven, NY with her husband, Howard Alden, aged 53. Her husband was shown to be a farm laborer.

Marriage - Among marriage licenses recently issued is one to Howard Alden, who conduct s the fruit store near the railroad station, and Mrs. Annie E. Koestner, of Selden.

In 1930, Anna Alden, aged 58, was living on Middle Country Road, Brookhaven, NY, with her husband, Howard Alden, aged 57. Her husband was shown to be a carpenter.

Mrs. Anna Koestner purchased the roughly 200-year-old Van Brunt homestead on Middle Country Road in Selden. It was totally destroyed when it burned to the ground in 1939. Her daughter, Lydia Shaber held the mortgage on the property at the time. The property was a farm where pigs were raised.

Obituary - Mrs. Howard Alden was buried in the Selden Cemetery on Saturday. The sympathy of the community is extended to the family.

Estate - In the estate of Anna Alden, also known as Annie Koestner, Selden, over $6,500, Lydia Shaber, daughter, Patchogue, is petitioner for letters of administration.
