Alexander Baum, son of Abraham Baum, deceased, was born
in Germany in September 26, 1852. He sailed to the USA from Hamburg in 1872. He resided in the USA for 60 years uninterrupted. He was sworn into being a naturalized citizen on October 9, 1896. He was going to travel to Germany, France, England, Switzerland, Italy, Holland and Belgium. His occupation was salesman. His passport application was made on April 11 1921. He was 69 years old at the time. He is described as 5'6", gray eyes, straight nose, square chin, brown gray hair, dark complexion and a round face.

In the death certificate he is listed as son of Abraham of Germany, mother's name is unknown but born in Germany. Alexander was a widowed clothing merchant of 75 years. He was born Sept 26 1852 in Germany. He died of heart problems but also had carcinoma of the lungs. He died April 10 1928 in St. Louis, MO and was buried in Mt. Sinai Cemetery in St. Louis on April 12, 1928.
