Darlene Ceglarek, 67, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Port Huron Hospital after a long illness. She was born August 13, 1941 in Port Huron.

Darlene enjoyed playing euchre, shuffleboard and going to the casino and trips up north.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and was a chaplain for many years.

Darlene loved to be around her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Bernard "Bud" Ceglarek; sons, Thomas (Sandy) Ceglarek and Scott (Diann) Ceglarek; daughter, Monna (Chuck) Prince; 6 grandchildren; mother, Margaret Charles; brothers, Edwin (Mary) Charles, Keith (Judy) Charles and Michael (Judy) Charles; sisters, Kristina (Gary) Rutkowski and Robin Charles; 11 nieces and nephews.

She also leaves behind her special friends, Janet Hayman, Becky Mosurak, Marge Bayes and Joy Hill.

Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Albert Charles; brothers, Thomas and Kenneth Charles.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Church. The Rev. Brian K. Cokonougher will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her sons Thomas and Scott Ceglarek, brother Michael Charles, nephews Ron and Richard Ceglarek and brother-in-law Gary Rutkowski.

Visiting hours are 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. Until the service time Wednesday at church. A rosary will be recited 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made in Darlene's memory to Holy Trinity Parish or the wishes of the family.
