Services Tuesday For H. H. Felber
Funeral services for Hubert Henry Felber, 51, were held Tuesday, March 24, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fordyce. Rev. Francis Kubart officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery at Fordyce under direction of Smith-Wintz Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jim Bauer, Dick Bowers, Donald Schulte, Marvin Noecker, Arlen Westergard and Larry Berberich.
Honorary pallbearers were Frank Dietsch, Henry Kuehn, Dean Wiebelhaus, Ray Kaiser, Cletus Buschelman and Gerard Weinandt.
Hubert H. Felber was born November 3, 1918 at Hartington, the son of Frank Felber and Elizabeth Dendinger Felber. He married Irma Thoene November 3, 1942 at Fordyce. His entire life was lived in this area with the exception of his service with the Armed Services during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus and vice president of the Greater Trojan Association. He at one time was associated with the Fordyce Credit Association and had for the past 12 years been a bookkeeper for the Bauer Electric Company.
Survivors include his wife, Irma; four daughters, Mrs. Gary (Jeanine) Wilkison of Hawarden, Ia., Mrs. Gene (Marilyn) Wiebelhaus, Ruth and Colleen Felber, all of Fordyce; a son, Robert of Fordyce; four brothers, Leo and Raymond both of Coleridge, Leonard of Ames, Ia., and Norbert of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters: Mrs. Anthony (Julia) Haberer of Orlando, Fla.; Mrs. Roy (Anna) Robins of Grants Pass, Ore.; and Mrs. Robert (Bertha) Clements of Lincoln; two grandchildren.
