BRUNS--John (Dick) Bruns funeral is Monday
Final rites for John (Dick) Bruns, 86, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Gass-Haney Funeral Chapel and Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.
The Rev. D. Lee Grace will officiate. The body will lie in state at the chapel after 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Bruns, who resided at 753 26th Avenue, died Friday in St. Mary Hospital.
Born Sept. 11, 1886 at Oldenburg, Germany, he came to Columbus at an early age and had since resided in this area.
He was a farmer and worked on the Loup Power Canal project. He retired at age 65.
Mr. Bruns was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, the former Bertha Kamm, whom he married at Enid, Okla. in 1908; two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Lorene) Allison and Mrs. Clarence (Marie) Muhle; three sons, Clarence, Andy and Delayne, all of Columbus.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Edna Mary; son, Marvin, in 1960; and sister, Mrs. George Weber.
