Minnie was born at Mazeppa Township, the daughter of Carl August Beskow and Wilhelmina Augusta Krause. She attended schools in Mazeppa Township. Minnie married Henry Clasen at St. John's Lutheran Church, June 23, 1908, where he was a teacher at the school. Minnie was a dutiful parochial teacher's wife, involving herself in church activities, serving as the first Secretary of the Ladies Aid Society in 1919. Henry and Minnie had 3 children. She was a "winter visitor" in Arizona, spending winters with daughters Millicent and Lorraine in Florence. She died there of a stroke.
