EDITH REID DACHENBACH
Edith Reid Dachenbach, daughter of William and Margaret Reid, was born Feb. 24, 1888. She passed away at St. Joseph's hospital in Milwaukee, Wis., on June 1, 1957, after an illness of several months, which she bore uncomplainingly.
She was married to Clement Dachenbach on Oct. 20, 1915. To this union three children were born.
Edith was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Eastern Star.
She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Mrs M. E. (Florence) Nelson of Columbia, Mo., a son, Wilbur R., of Oskaloosa, Iowa; six grandchildren, Ricky and Terry Nelson, Judy, Susie, Reid and Rex Dachenbach, two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Livingston and Mrs. Bessie Conlin of Chicago and one brother, Walter Reid of Cottage Grove, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Irene, in 1941, and by her husband in 1943.
Edith spent many vacations in Iowa visiting her husband's relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 1957 at the Zion Methodist church. The Rev. A. E. Beals officiated and interment was in the Zion cemetery. Mrs. Clara Westman was pianist. Pallbearers were Warren, Lowell, Freeman and Billy Dachenbach, Joe Shore and Hugh Smith.
The Beardsley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
