Lawrence Oesterling

Lawrence Oesterling, 91, Rushville, died Wednesday at Rush Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 29, 1907, in Decatur County to Anthony and Elizabeth (Fehrmann) Oesterling. He married Alvena (Draping) Oesterling on April 2, 1932, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 9, 1994.

Mr. Oesterling was a farmer in Rush County for more than 30 years. He had lived in Rush County since 1932.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Rushville.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Rosemary) Chance, Rushville; two brothers, Frank Oesterling, Spiceland, and Clarence J. Oesterling, Rushville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rushville, with the Rev. Roger Rudolf officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rushville.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Moster and Cox Mortuary, Rushville.
