Mr. Oelschlaeger died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at his home. He was a former resident of Linwood.
He was born Oct. 28, 1927, in Tonganoxie.
He was a military police officer in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was self-employed and did excavation work.
He married Evelyn Cote. She died in 1968. He married Ethelmae Nunn. She died in 1996. He married Josie Gomes. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Robert T., Linwood; two stepsons, Virgil Wright, Winchester, and Russell "Rusty" Nunn, Bonner Springs; a sister, Annette Parsons; four brothers, Richard, Orville, Everett, and Bernard; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Oelschlaeger; and a granddaughter, Angela Blanks.
