She married R. Emil Krueger on December 5th, 1897. They farmed near Amenia until 1942 when they retired and moved to Casselton, N.D.
Emil & Gertrude had ten children, Roy, Walter, Hulda, Adolph, Helen, Amanda, William, Clarence, Robert and Arthur.
Gertrude was blessed with many talents. Besides raising a large family, she was a master of needlework. Gertrude could watch tv or look out the window and her hands were busy crocheting. She made up many of her own stitches. She crocheted boxes of baby sweaters, caps and booties for the Childrens' Home in Fargo. She had an amazing green thumb and loved the raise African Violets.
She was always amazed that she lived from covered wagons to airplanes, and traveling in both.
She will always be in our hearts.
