She came from Germany at the age of 14 years. She was confirmed through the German Lutheran church and was always a good Christian. She was united in marriage to William Sander in the year 1890 at Columbus, Nebraska. From there she moved to Buffalo county and lived on a farm north of Buda spending 17 years there. On account of her health she was compelled to move to Kearney, residing there until death.
On April 4, 1931 she had an operation and one year later another from which she never regained health.
To this union were born eight children, one preceding her in death in infancy. The others are all living in this vicinity. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband and children, Minnie Drake, Mrs. Maggie Halkyard. Mrs. Anna Gillming, Mr. Edward Sander, Arthur Sander, Alfe Sander and Harrold Sander.
