Hugo was the son of Christian August Dolge AKA "Chris Dolge" and Auguste (von Steitz) Dolge.

Hugo had two wives: 1) Anne Elizabeth Lambert, and 2) Mary Amelia Moxon. He out-lived both of them. In 1930, he was living in Virginia.
In 1920 he and Mary were living in Oxford, Worcester, Mass.
There were three children lving with them then: Adela A. Dolge, age 27; Herbert Dolge, age 20; and Richard M. Dolge, age 18. They must have all been children of his second wife, Mary, as Anne died in 1887, very young.
Anne and Mary are both buried in Dolgeville Cemetery. Herbert is also buried in Dolgeville Cemetery.
