Eva Marcantel Klumpp
Tee Mamou - Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 7 at St. Jules Catholic Church for Eva Marcantel Klumpp, 76, who died at 3:40 p.m. Monday July 5, 1999 in Basile.
Rev. Kenneth Mayne will officiate for the services. Burial will be held in the Reed Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Survivors will include her husband, Joseph Carlton "J. C." Klumpp of Basile, two sons, Kyle Klumpp and his wife, Sharon, from New Orleans and Mark Klumpp from Tee Mamou; two daughters, Mrs. Billy (Linda Klumpp) Babineaux of Lafayette and Ms. Jean Klumpp Sullivan of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Leon (Olive Marcantel) Ardoin of Lafayette, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A native of Basile, she was a resident of Tee Mamou. She was a former resident of Lafayette. Mrs. Klumpp was a member of the Come Lord Jesus Group, the Ladies Altar Society, Eucharistic Ministers, Catholic Daughters of America, CDA Rosary Group, Cursillista and was affiliated with the Southwest La. State School Parents Club.
She is preceded in death by her half-sister, Mrs. Amaduce (Marie Marcantel) Bertrand.
Pallbearers will include Kyle Klumpp, Mark Klumpp, Billy Babineaux, Sr., Bill Babineaux, Jr., Scott Klumpp & Joel Guidry.
