Jeremiah Brown was born 1759 in North Carolina, near the Shallow Ford in Yadkin County according to Revolutionary War Pension records. He served three tours of three months each. Was at the Seige of Augusta and Gates Defeat. He died in 1859 in Jackson County where his second wife lived to be approximately 100 years old. She was Jane Franklin, born about 1778 in North Carolina. Their known children include Edmond, Barbry, William, John,and James.
He was a private in the Rev War. He served for three months in Capt. Clarke's Co., and six months in Capt. Kerr's Co.
