SIOUX FALLS - Pearl Styke, 84, of 130 N. Sycamore Ave., died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at K-Nopf Assisted Living Center.

Pearl Gregersen was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Inwood, Iowa. After her mother died when she was very young, she was raised by her stepmother, Elise Gregersen.

She married Johannes Styke on Aug. 21, 1934, in Sioux Falls. The couple farmed northwest of Inwood, Iowa, for many years. Her husband died in 1952. She lived on the farm for a time, then moved to Canton. She worked at the A&R Grocery as a checker for several years. She later moved to Sioux Falls, where she worked at Sunshine Foods on 12th Street and Kiwanis Avenue, until her retirement in 1982.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Inwood, Iowa.

Survivors include four daughters, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a brother, and a sister-in-law.

Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in rural Inwood, Iowa, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation begins at noon Thursday at George Boom Funeral Home with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to Our Savior's Lutheran Church Building Fund in rural Inwood, Iowa.
