Obit: Funeral services under the direction of the Osborn Funeral Home were conducted Tuesday, May 7, at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Correctionville, Iowa, with pastor A.E. Guetzlaff officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Pierson, Iowa. Mr. Bauer, 64, succumbed in University Hospital in Minneapolis, May 2, 1946, with generalized peritonitis following a major operation. Mr. Bauer had been a resident of Minnesota for the past thirty years and had previously lived in the Pierson community.
