Obit: "Heart Attack Proves Fatal to Old Resident". Elizabeth Warneke, the youngest daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Klippel) Kimm, was born near Utica, New York, on January 31, 1863. Five years later the family moved to Benton County, Iowa, where she went to school and grew to womanhood. In 1882 she came to Odebolt where her brother Silas resided. She married August Warneke at Ida Grove, Iowa, on March 1, 1888. For one year they lived on a farm near Holstein, Iowa, and in the spring of 1889 came to Plymouth County, residing on a farm four miles northeast of Kingsley. In February 1925 they went to Onawa, Iowa, where they stayed a year and then spent a winter in California. Since May, 1925, they have made their home in Kingsley. Mrs. Warneke enjoyed good health until a few days before her death when heart weakness appeared. In spite of all that loving care could do, she grew worse, and passed away on December 4, 1932, at the age of 69 years, 10 months and three days. She was preceded in death by two of her children, Mrs. Katherine Harderson and Neal Warneke. To mourn her sudden departure besides her husband, are brothers and sisters, G. Kimm, Blairstown, Iowa, and Silas Kimm of Pierson, Iowa, sister Mrs. Anna Warneke of Edgewater, Colorado, Fred Kimm of Norway, Iowa, Jacob Kimm, Northwood, Iowa, Mrs. Anna Volz, Norway, Iowa, Mrs. Frieda Bowler of Fairfax, Iowa. In her own family are three sons, Elmer and George of Witten, South Dakota, and Clarence of Kingsley, four daughters, Mrs. Jessie Robbins of Correctionville, Iowa, Mrs. Addie Peterson, Mrs. Florence Wink and Mrs. Emma Mathers of Kingsley, Iowa, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
