Anna Petersen Chilton Times March 3, 1928

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Petersen, aged 79, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, were held at the family residence Tuesday at At John's Reformed church with Rev. A. C. Plappert officiating. Interment was made in the city cemetery.

Mrs. Petersen, nee Anna Goos, was born April 13, at Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. At the age of 3 years she came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claus Goos who located at New Holstein. On May 31, 1872 she was united in marriage with Frederick W. Petersen, who preceded her in death a number of years ago. For the past forty years, Mrs. Petersen has conducted a boarding house and restaurant on Railroad street, in this city. Last March she became seriously ill which resulted in her death, by cancer and dropsy.

Mrs. Petersen is survived by three sons, Henry of Junction City, William of New Holstein and George of Withee. A daughter passed away a number of years ago. Five grandchildren also survive and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Luetchen of Milwaukee and a brother, George Goos of Brothertown.

Deceased was a member of the Frauenverein of St. John's Reformed church and of the A. E. Hansen Women's Relief Corps, who attended the services in a body. Mr. and Mrs. George Petersen of Withee arrived here Monday to attend the funeral.
