Mr. Karg was born Jan. 23, 1924, to Alex and Rosie (Batz) Karg in Cheyenne, Wyo. He graduated from Crook High School in 1942.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On Aug. 18, 1946, he married Fern L. Brauer in Sidney, Neb.
They farmed in the Crook area, where they lived until moving to Sterling in 1991. He farmed and fed cattle and hogs until 1993.
Mr. Karg was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his sons, Tom Karg and wife Margaret of Denver and Jim Karg and wife Gena of Crook; daughter, Cynthia Donovan and husband William of Centreville, Va.; 10 grandchildren, Jami Reed, Kristi Fernandez, Casey William, Jeffrey Karg, Ryan Donovan, Stacey Karg, Jacob Karg, Julie Green, Jennifer Green and Jacque Green; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Fern in 2004; infant son, Randolph Karg; and brother, Herbert Karg.
