JEFFERSONVILLE EVENING NEWS OBITUARY – 04/27/1993
Funeral services for Edward J. Koetter Sr., 87, of Route 1, Borden, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Catholic Church, Starlight, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Monday at his home. He was a native of Borden, a retired farmer, a former director of the Clark County Farm Bureau Co-op, a former Clark County councilman and a former director and treasurer of Borden Tri County Water District. He was a member of St. John Starlight Catholic Church and the men's club of the church. Survivors include his wife, the former Lucille Klein; four sons, Robert Koetter Sr. of Floyds Knobs and William, Edward Jr. and Thomas Koetter, Borden; two sisters, Mary Huber and Rosalena Stumler, Borden; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary J. Smith. Visitation at Kraft Funeral Home will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Edward J. Koetter, 87, of Borden, died Monday at his residence. He was a native of Borden, a retired farmer, and director of the Farm Bureau Co-op. He was a former Clark Co. councilman, former director and treasurer of Borden Tri-County Water Co., a member of St. John's Starlight Catholic Church and the Men's Club of the church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary J. Smith. Survivors include his wife, the former Lucille Klein; four sons, Robert Koetter Sr. of Floyds Knobs, William Koetter, Edward Koetter Jr. and Thomas Koetter, all of Borden; two sisters, Mary Huber and Rosalena Stumler, both of Borden; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Starlight Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service from 5-9 p.m. today and 5-9 p.m. Wednesday.
