Stephen A. Adams, 44, of Midland, died Sunday, November 16, 2008. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Golf Course Road Church of Christ with Byron Myers and Andy Spell officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.

Steve was born June 15, 1964 in Abilene, TX to Craig E. and Paula (Jones) Adams. In 1982, he graduated from Lee High School. Steve Married Missy Walker August 15, 1984 in Midland. Steve was a loving, caring husband for 24 years and a Dad to his 2 daughters and son. His family was his beginning, middle and end. He coached The Storm Softball Team for more than 6 years. He was also a JV Coach for Midland Christian School, 2002. As of recent, he and his son Stephen Derek enjoyed building and racing drag cars. Steve's life was devoted to his wife and kids.

Adams was the general manager of Charts, Ltd. based in Midland. His mother, Paula, and her brother Dan Jones started the gas measurement company in 1978. In 1990, Dirk Dieterich bought the business and became the managing general partner. Steve's worked there since he was 20 years old. He was a chart processor for many, many years.

About five years ago, Adams decided to better himself, according to Dieterich, and made an effort to become part of the company. The business started a meter shop because of Adams and is now one of two companies in the world that sell draft well meters. Stephen did an amazing job moving up from a lower-end job to a high member of the company. He was a good old country boy who used every bit of the talent God leveled on him. He had nothing but a bright future to go forward. Steve was a member of Golf Course Road Church of Christ.

Steve is survived by his wife, Missy of Midland; two daughters; Dani and Kresha and son Stephen Derek Adams, parents Craig and Paula Adams of Midland; brother Charles Adams and wife Kayla of Coleman; sister Pam Allen and husband Kevin of Midland; mother and father-in-law, Chesley and Kay Walker of Midland; sister-in-law, Misty Moore and husband Jake of Midland, Taylor Hodges and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Pallbearers will be John Garvin, Mark Murphy, Don Crowder, Steven Hetzel, Howard Morrison, Jimmy Norton, Tim Edwards and Scott Svetlik. Honorary Pallbearers will be Junior Boils, Todd Bradford, Dirk Dieterich, Dave Miller, Stan Shelton, Rick Vannoy, Barry Kirby, Rick Watkins, Stuart Usrey, Doyle Gill, Chris Mueler, Ricky Wilson, David Howard, Tim Murray, Randy Henson, Rick Eaton, Jon Graham, Keven Ochs, Jeff McCowen and all his buddies.
