Obituary - Waukesha Daily Freeman - June 20, 1949.

William Kern, Sr., a life long resident of the town of New Berlin, died last night at Waukesha Memorial hospital. He was 76 and a retired farmer.
He is survived by his widow, Mary, a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Oimen, and two sons, Clarence and William, all of Waukesha; a brother, Charles of Genesee; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Witte, Mrs. Catherine Wehren and Mrs. Eugene Sayles of Waukesha; three grandchildren, a son-in-law and two daughters-in-law.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical and Reformed church. The Rev. Ralph Ley will officiate and burial will be at Prairie Home cemetery. Friends may call at the Erling Larson funeral home after 1 p. m. tomorrow until 10:30 a. m. Wednesday.
