The son of HENRY & ANN (PUTNAM) KINNEY, he resided at Salem Village, now Danvers, Mass. On May 23, 1677, he married ELIZABETH KNIGHT. Their children (all born at Salem Village):
1. THOMAS KINNE (my ancestor) b. July 17, 1678
2. John Kinne b. Aug. 5, 1679, d. March 28, 1776 Middleton, CT
3. JOSEPH KINNE (my ancestor) (1678-1756)
4. Daniel b. July 23, 1682
5. Jonathan b. May 27, 1686
Thomas Kinne died at age 31 years. His will was dated May 30, 1687 and his estate was inventoried on June 14, 1687. His wife, Elizabeth, died seven years later. Guardians were appointed for their four minor sons on Feb. 6, 1695.
Thomas served with his father, Henry Kinne, in the Narragansett War.
