Monika Repp Umscheid, born in Grossheubach, Bavaria, Germany, was the daughter of Michael Anton Repp and Mary Josepha Geier. She married Constantin Umscheid, son of John Joseph Umscheid and Maria Eva Magdalena Busch, (1st wife of John Joseph). Monika and Constantin were married May 12, 1867 at the home of Michael Floersch in Flush, Kansas. A priest from the St. Marys Catholic Mission, St. Marys, Ks., performed the ceremony.
