Conrad Heimbegner, 71, of 306 Jefferson, died Wednesday. Sept. 2. 1987, at a Sterling nursing home.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday from Chaney-Walters Funeral home, the Rev, John P. Gorkio officiating.
Military gravesite rites by jake Uhrig Post No. 3541, Sterling Veterans of Foreign Wars, and burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Heimbegner was born July 7, 1916 in Mitchell, nebr., the son of John and Mabel Heinbechner Heimbegner. The family homesteaded in Sedgwick County, engauging in farming for over 30 years before moving to Logan County.
Mr. Heimbegner received his early schooling in Ovid, the farmed in the Iliff-Proctor area for many years before going to work for Neff Trucking as a truck driver, later driving trucks for Odin Inc., until retiring in 1972.
He married Katherine Boyer, May 2, 1969 in Akron. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church and Jake Uhrig Post No 3541, Sterling Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife and 4 daughters, two sons, three brothers, three sisters.
