Roseann, 97, Minster, died at 10:30 p.m., at Elmwood Assisted Living.

She was the daughter of Bernard and Clara (Wendel) Meier. She married twice and survived both husbands. On Apr 26, 1947, she married Donald Nelson, and on Oct 19, 1955, she married Leander Puthoff.

Surviving are three sons: Michael, Jamestown, Dennis (Ann), New Bremen, and Thomas (Deborah) Nelson, Pickerington; three daughters: Linda (Daniel) Schmiesing and Deborah (William) Bornhorst, both Ft. Loramie, and Lisa Freytag, Minster; a daughter-in-law, Patty Nelson, New Bremen; two brothers: Ernest (Pat), Seattle, WA, and Charles (Mary) Meier, Celina; a sister, Janet (Ronald) Stachler, Celina; and twenty-nine grandchildren, seventy-one great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Deceased are a son and two sisters, all linked below; a son-in-law, Joseph Freytag; and a great-grandson Keegan Freytag.

A member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, she was a custodian for the religious education center for many years. She also worked at the Auglaize ABC Center sorting coupons and was a member of the New Bremen Senior Citizen Center. She would embroider pillows and would bake apple pies, homemade donuts, coffee cake and fried chicken. She would walk a lot and did not get her driver's license until she was 60 years old and needed pillows to see over the steering wheel. She enjoyed senior citizen travels and vacations with the family. She liked gardening, canning, and going to adoration. She was a woman of great faith. She loved holding babies and being with her grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
